Into-The-Glacier ice cave tour and the Borgarfjörður. Explore the second-largest glacier in Iceland, Langjökull, from the inside! Duration 8 – 10 hours.
Departure from Reykjavik in the morning at your preferred time and we drive west to the Borgarfjörður region with a coffee stop on the way and stops at the beautiful waterfalls of Hraunfossar.
Then on to Húsafell and the journey takes you on a guided tour in a monster truck to the entrance of the Langjökull Ice Cave. The man-made tunnel in Langjökull glacier is the largest of its kind in the world. We’ll explore the tunnels for one hour, stopping at the built-in chapel. Venture deep into the heart of Iceland’s Ice Age not far from Reykjavik! Lunch stop is at your preferred place on the way, as are stops for coffee, shopping, photos and stretching.
The Into-the-Glacier tour is not included in the price. The price of that tour, including the drive in a monster truck on to the glacier, is 24,900 ISK or approx. 165 EUR.

What do I need to bring?
The terrain can be rocky, so we suggest wearing good shoes or sturdy boots a sweater and a waterproof/windproof jacket.
We do stop at a cafe/restaurant but if you have dietary preferences, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.
A camera and binoculars will enhance your experience.
Cancellation policy
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 40% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 20% if booking is cancelled 14 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 30 days or less before the event.
