Summer Day Tours

From Reykjavik in June, July, August and September

Specialized summer only F-Road tours into the interior highlands

We offer twelve different tours, or legs of tours, from Reykjavik into the interior highlands and remote areas of Iceland. Six are in the southern interior, one in the west and two are cross country with three possible extensions in the north.

All excursions are private tours at a fixed price of EUR 1.200 per day of 8 to 10 hours for a group of maximum four persons. Additional hours for days exceeding 10 hours are EUR 150 per hour.

CCE Tours – Two to five days, South to North via Sprengisandur (F26) on day one, then back to Reykjavik via Kjölur (F35) on day two. Various stops and tours in north Iceland are available if you wish in between the South to North trip ranging from one and up to three days, such as the Askja Caldera (F88/F894) in one day, Mývatn – Dettifoss – Ásbyrgi in one day and Langanes peninsula in one day.

Please note
F-Roads are only open during the summer from June through September and their opening may vary depending on their condition. The first opening is usually around June 1 (WI 1) and the remaining F-Roads open around mid-June (some SI) and the rest at the end of June. F-Roads are only safe for large, sturdy four-wheel drive jeeps or trucks.

SI Tours – We have six different tours into the interior of South Iceland that start in Reykjavik and use the village of Klaustur (Kirkjubæjarklaustur) in the south-east as a return point or starting point for other day tours in the area such as a day-trip to the Laki craters area and/or a day trip to Skaftafell in Vatnajökull National Park and the Glacier Lagoon in Vatnajökull National Park. These tours can be rearranged to some extent according to your wishes to fit better your own interests and schedule.
